LESSON/PRINCIPLE
As an entrepreneur, business owner and real estate agent, you have the advantage (or disadvantage) of dictating how to spend your day. If you aren’t careful you can end up doing a little bit of everything that appears is urgent instead of what’s most important to generate income and grow your business.
Many real estate agents work seven days a week—but not all achieve gratifying results. One of the reasons for this is because there isn’t any clear activity dedicated to sculpting success.
APPLICATION
One of the most successful techniques we use in our coaching program to avoid wasting time so we become as productive as we can is what we call “The one thing”. The exercise consists of asking our clients, “What is the one thing in my business that, if I do it every day, will radically improve my results?”
Ask yourself, what is the one thing you can do every day to radically improve your results? Define it; then start applying it—today. Don’t do anything else until you do that one thing every day. If you get waylaid at work first thing in the morning, don’t leave the office at day’s end until you’ve done that one thing. In no time at all you’ll see how you’re creating momentum and improving your business outcome using this technique.
