I hope you take this message as one of the most important— if not the most important—tool you’ll ever wield as a business person.

Meditation is…

  • The act of calming your mind
  • A way of rebooting your brain, like you do with your computer
  • A way of re-charging your mind and body like you do with your phone
  • A tool to center yourself and increase your ability to focus the way athletes do to get into the zone
  • The discipline of listening deeply while suspending active thought
  • Focusing on your environment, body and those around you. In other words, meditation is about learning to keep your mouth shut and your mind open so you can listen with your entire being

What meditation is not…

  • An affiliation with a religion or cult
  • A religious experience
  • Sitting on a cushion and focusing on your breath

In 2012 I started meditating by calming my mind and clearing my thoughts.
